Server Held Stops
*
Keep your stops active even after you log off with
server-held stops.
Server-held stops are saved to the server and
remain active while you are logged off. You can
manage and view your orders from the Account Detail
window.
Server-held stops can complement your risk
management strategy, if you want your stop to:
- Appear when you login again.
- Stay active while you are logged off.
- Apply to equities, options, and futures
orders.
OCO & Trailing Stops
*
Trailing Stops are considered by many traders to
be an important component to their risk management
strategy. Quickly send a Trailing Stop order right
from your Trading Window as you view market depth.
Or if you prefer, you can create a Trailing Stop as
a Hot Key to place the trailing trade with the push
of a button.
Alert and Trigger
 |
Alert actions are
taken once your order conditions are met. Some
of the actions you can select include: being
notified visually or audibly; having an order
submitted to the exchange; or, getting your
order ready in the Trading Window. For your
convenience, your active alerts will appear
under the "Alert" column in the Watch List tool.
Choose your own alert actions with our platform
simulator.
Choose from the following alert actions:
Beep
Close positions
Deactivate All Alerts
Display Message
Load Trading Window
Place
Play Sound
|
 |
Customize your
alert using several available criteria for
setting alert conditions. You could have an
alert fire when a specific stock in your
portfolio drops 1 point, when an index reaches a
specific value, or any other number of factors
in many combinations. See for yourself with our
platform simulator.
Please Note: Alerts and triggers are not server
held, so your system must be on for them to be
activated. |

* The placing of
certain orders (e.g.
"stop-loss" orders,
where permitted
under local law, or
"stop-limit" orders)
which are intended
to limit losses to
certain amounts may
not be effective
because market
conditions may make
it impossible to
execute such orders.
